Facade System RP-ISO-hermetic

(The plug and screw assembly)
Information:
Transparent
constructions
Unlike
any other material, steel makes it possible to have
optically transparent constructions.
High
load bearing capacity
Steel
mullions are available up to a profile depth of 160 mm,
making large unsupported spans and large glass panes possible,
even without supporting structures.
Anticorrosive
surface
Corrosion-resistance
is ensured by a double sided pre-galvanisation process.
The processed profile edges are protected by a special
coating before being assembled with screws.
Hermetic
Steel profile seals
Surrounding
back seal with drainage grooves lets condensation water
run off and serves as a secondary block to water penetration.
Thermal
break
By
using plastic spacers there is a separation of cold/warm
areas. These isolators give a U-Value of less than 2 to
the frame.
Technical
processing
As the pressure plates are fixed
by means of self-drilling screws, the exact positioning
of drilling holes on the workshop plans is not necessary
any more for transoms and mullions. In the case of glass
replacement, the secondary sealing level is penetrated
at exactly the same location avoiding unnecessary losses
in watertightness by making new perforations.
Workshop
Further time is saved as fixing elements do not have to
be adjusted to existing transoms and mullions bores when
assembling. Self-drilling screws considerably reduce the
length of the process.
Assembly
Firstly, all mullions are installed, then the transoms
are fixed between the mullions.
The transoms are fitted by means of patented transom-holders.
The plug and screw assembly method saves time and man
power.
